Family Climbing Sessions

Fun school holiday climbing adventures for the whole family. Mountain Craft family climbing sessions are a great way to get outside and active during the school holidays. These classes are designed for children aged 4 to 16 years old and are suitable for everyone from complete beginners to developing young climbers. No previous experience or equipment is necessary. THE EXPERIENCE: We offer a mix of indoor and outdoor climbing to suit the weather and your family's preference. Outdoor Rock Climbing: Experience real rock at local crags within a short walk of the car park. All our outdoor venues are within 20 to 30 minutes of Betws y Coed. Indoor Climbing: Usually based at Plas y Brenin, where entry fees are included in your booking. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING: We run these popular sessions throughout the major 2026 school holidays, including Easter, May Half Term, and the Summer break. 2026 Holiday Update: We are currently finalizing our full holiday calendar. Additional dates for the spring and summer will be made available before Easter.
