Rhinogydd 700m Summits

60 British pounds
Llanbedr near Harlech, Gwynedd.

Open dates 2025: Friday 15th August 2025 (fully booked) Sunday 7th September 2025 These open events are now guaranteed to run! The Rhinogydd 700s is one of the toughest day walks in Snowdonia/Eryri. Our ambitious route summits the four 700 metre mountains of the Rhinogydd range: Rhinog Fawr, Rhinog Fach, Y Llethr and Diffwys. If you're looking for a more unique and challenging mountain route in Wales then this should fit your bill. After meeting near the village of Llanbedr, close to Harlech, we will cover a circular route of over 20km and climb almost 1500 metres in total. The terrain is much more rugged than that of the popular areas of the national park such as Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa or the Glyderau, parts of the route are pathless and rocky steps or small crags regularly need climbing up or down. The Rhinog mountains also give great practice in navigation so if you're looking to brush up on some personal skills then this is the perfect journey for some extra tuition along the way. The natural beauty of the Rhinogydd is incredible. The views include the 3000ft mountains to the north, Cader Idris to the south and an immense panorama of the Irish Sea to the west where you can sometimes even see the mainland itself. Add to this potentially spotting mountain goats, ravens, raptors & hares Private bookings: If you would like to book a private guided day on the Rhinogydd 700 metre summits then please browse availability and book under Activities > Solitude in the Mountains > Guided Walks: Dolgellau. Individual bookings: Spaces are £60 per person and are available to be booked right now, once you have booked on one of our open events your place is guaranteed.
