Introduction to Scrambling is the best place to start if you want to build confidence and learn how to move well on rock.Tryfan: The North Ridge gives you a full day of continuous Grade 1 scrambling and varied rocky terrain.Crib Goch & The Snowdon Horseshoe is the most exposed and psychologically committing of the three.For something built around your own experience, see Private Scrambling.

Scrambling is particularly sensitive to wind, rain, snow, ice and ground conditions.Poor weather does not necessarily mean the whole day is cancelled. We may change the route, use more sheltered terrain or choose another suitable scrambling objective.If conditions make mountain activity generally unsafe, the day may be cancelled in line with the Booking Terms & Conditions.

Mountain Craft provides any technical safety equipment required for the day, including helmets, harnesses, ropes and other specialist equipment where appropriate.You will need your own suitable mountain clothing, waterproofs, rucksack and footwear.Walking boots, approach shoes and climbing shoes are not normally supplied.A specific kit list is sent before your activity.

Possibly, but please contact me before booking.Open groups are primarily designed for adults. Anyone under 18 would normally need to attend with a parent or legal guardian who is also participating.Suitability depends on the young person, the route and the group. A Private Scrambling Day may sometimes be more appropriate.
