Small group mountain experiments built around friction, isolation, awkward terrain, route uncertainty and deliberate constraint.
Some begin with an idea of ours. Others begin with a private brief. Some are single day field tests. Some are full disconnects.
You don't observe a Lab experiment. You enter it.

PRIVATE COMMISSIONS
Bring the brief. We create the experiment.
Some Lab projects are released publicly. Others are designed for one person or one private group.
A commission starts with the parameters rather than the route. Tell us who is coming, what you are capable of, how much time you have, and how much you want to know beforehand. Mountain Craft develops the objective, structure and logistics around the brief.
It might involve darkness, distance, isolation, unfamiliar terrain, withheld information, support or something that has not existed before.
If you already know the mountain objective you want to complete, Private Guiding is probably the better fit. A Lab commission is for when you want Mountain Craft to design the thing itself.
Private commissions start from £1,500.
A limited number are accepted each year.

Experiment #002: The Equinox Blackout

This was the second Blackout, testing the format in different conditions.

This established the baseline for Blackout.
