Booking Terms & Conditions
Your Booking
-
Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified in the activity description.
-
Age Requirements: Participants must be 18 years or older. Under 18s may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also booked onto the activity. Please note that some itineraries may be modified to ensure suitability for younger participants.
-
Participation Form: After booking, you will receive a digital participation consent form. This must be completed in full prior to the start of your activity.
Cancellations & Amendments
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please contact us as soon as possible via email or telephone. Our refund schedule is as follows:
-
Cancellations 8+ weeks notice: Full refund, minus a £10 administration fee to cover non-refundable transaction and processing costs.
-
Cancellations 4–8 weeks notice: 50% refund of the total booking cost.
-
Cancellations less than 4 weeks notice: Non-refundable. However, we may allow you to transfer your place to another participant at our discretion.
-
Booking Amendments: Date changes or booking adjustments follow the same notice periods as cancellations unless an explicit exception is granted by Mountain Craft.
If Mountain Craft Cancels: In the unlikely event that we must cancel due to dangerous weather (e.g., extreme winds/lightning) or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer you a high-quality alternative activity, a full refund, or a rescheduled date. Mountain Craft is not liable for any personal travel or accommodation costs incurred.
Risk & Insurance
Our activities—including hill walking, mountain walking, rock climbing, indoor climbing, bouldering, and scrambling—carry inherent risks.
"The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions."
While Mountain Craft holds comprehensive Public Liability Insurance, we strongly recommend that you take out your own personal travel and accident insurance to cover cancellations, personal injury, or loss/damage of property.
