SOLSTICE BLACKOUT Monday 21st to Tuesday 22nd June 2027 12:00 Monday to 12:00 Tuesday £495 per person | Maximum 4 | Jacob-led The summer solstice falls during the Blackout at 3:10pm on Monday 21st June. Blackout is a 24-hour small-group mountain experience built around rough terrain, uncertainty, isolation and removing some of the things normally competing for your attention. Your phone is handed over before we leave. The route is not disclosed in advance. Everything needed for the overnight journey is carried with you. This Solstice edition is professionally photographed. Participants carry no personal cameras, and a set of physical prints is sent afterwards. Emergency communication remains available through Mountain Craft using satellite communication. THE ROUTE The exact location and route remain undisclosed until shortly before departure. Expect rough mountain ground, uncertain lines, slow movement and an overnight camp chosen around the weather, terrain and group. This is not an endurance event. Distance is secondary to the terrain, the route and spending a full 24 hours away. THE PHOTOGRAPHER A professional photographer joins the group to document the 24 hours without requiring participants to carry cameras or record the experience themselves. Afterwards, each participant receives a curated set of physical prints. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE You need solid hill fitness and must be comfortable carrying your own overnight bivi or small tent setup over rough mountain terrain. You do not need to be fast, but you do need to be steady, resilient and comfortable with uncertainty. Not suitable for beginners. WHAT’S INCLUDED 24 hours led by Jacob, professional photography, physical prints, secure phone storage, satellite communication, route planning and pre-event kit and logistics advice. NOT INCLUDED Shelter, sleeping bag, mat, food, stove, personal hill kit or travel. All route decisions remain weather and safety dependent.
