While the 8km distance and 700m ascent sound modest, we spend the day moving slowly, deliberately, and safely on continuous rocky ground. THE ROUTE: The exact line depends on the weather and the group's strength, but Tryfan offers world-class Grade 1 scrambling in every direction. We typically ascend the North Ridge and descend via the South Ridge or the Western Gully. Alternative routes may include the Heather Terrace or the Eastern Traverse Path. Regardless of the line, our goal remains, the standing summit stones of Adam and Eve.
