Moel Siabod is a unique, lone standing mountain towering above Capel Curig. Its Daear Ddu Ridge provides the perfect environment for those looking to move from hill walking into the world of scrambling. THE ROUTE: Walking from Capel Curig, we pass through woodland before reaching the rugged terrain around Llyn y Foel. The Daear Ddu ridge rises from the lake in a series of short, stepped sections of grippy rock. The scrambling is a gentle Grade 1, ideal for coaching movement under professional supervision. After reaching the summit, we descend the northern flank back to the village. The route is approximately 10km with 800m of ascent.
