This circuitous route combines high mountain terrain with outstanding historical sites, aiming to complete the full loop in under 12 hours. This event is now guaranteed to run. THE ROUTE Starting and finishing in the Dee Valley village of Trevor, the route ascends approximately 2000m. Stand-out features include Thomas Telford’s incredible Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the Horseshoe Pass, Trevor Rocks, and the high point of Moel Fferna at 630m. The terrain is a mix of heather, grass, and well-worn tracks.
