ADVANCED SCRAMBLING: ONE SPACE LEFT 2026 Open Group Availability: Sunday 14th June 1 space available £175 Per Person | Focused 1:2 Ratio | MCI Guided THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR MOUNTAIN JOURNEY If you’ve stood on the summit of Tryfan or crossed Crib Goch and wondered what comes next, this is it. This Advanced Scrambling day is designed for people who already have some mountain confidence and want to move beyond Grade 1 terrain with proper coaching, ropework and judgement. This is not a normal guided walk. It is a focused day on steeper, more technical ground, led by a fully qualified Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor. THE CLASSROOM: OGWEN VALLEY The day will be based in the Ogwen Valley, one of the best natural scrambling venues in Eryri. Rich will choose the most suitable route based on the weather, conditions and the experience of the pair on the day. Possible objectives may include classic Grade 2 or Grade 3 scrambling terrain such as Cneifion Arête, Idwal Buttress, or one of the quieter technical lines around Tryfan’s East Face. MEET YOUR GUIDE: RICH, MCI You’ll be guided by Rich, a fully qualified Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor. Rich is calm, patient and technically sharp, with the right style for helping experienced hillwalkers and Grade 1 scramblers step onto more serious ground safely and confidently. WHO THIS IS FOR This is suitable if you have: A decent head for heights Previous Grade 1 scrambling experience Confidence on rough mountain ground Good hill fitness A willingness to learn rope-protected movement Good previous examples would include Tryfan North Ridge, Crib Goch, Bristly Ridge, or similar exposed mountain ground. No previous ropework experience is needed. All technical safety equipment is provided, including helmet, harness and ropes.
