Private Mountain Objective Day A 12-hour private mountain day for bigger, quieter or more complex objectives. Who it’s for This is the right option if you want more than a standard private hill day. It is built for long linkups, rough terrain, quiet traverses, point-to-point routes, challenge recces, range-bagging days and unusual Mountain Craft-style ideas that need shaping properly. What’s included The day includes a scheduled route-building call before we confirm the final plan. We’ll look at your aims, experience, fitness, route options, conditions, logistics, escape routes and how much challenge is realistic. On the hill, the aim is not just to follow a guide. You’ll see how the route is planned, adapted and judged as conditions, terrain and the group unfold. Coaching, pacing, navigation, route choice and decision-making can all be built into the day. Example objectives Possible days could include a full Rhinogydd traverse, Cwm Pennant Horseshoe, Welsh 1000m summits in a day, Welsh 3000s or Paddy Buckley recce sections, Aran, Carneddau or Moelwynion traverses, every Moelwynion Hewitt in a day, or a rough off-track mission through the Migneint, Arenig and Dduallt country. It can also work for more unusual client-led concepts, such as trig point tally challenges, stone circle linkups, range-bagging projects, straight-line style challenges, obscure summit lists, or a route idea that needs proper shaping before it becomes a safe and workable mountain day. This is a Jacob-led private option for clients who want Mountain Craft’s route choice, local knowledge and judgement, not just a guide for hire.
