Mountain Craft are pleased to be leading a unique & flexible exploration of the Clwydian Range of hills across the Welsh counties of Denbighshire, Flintshire & Wrexham. This area is potentially set to become the 4th Welsh national park, 'Glyndŵr National Park', named after the famed Owain Glyndŵr. The aim of the day will be discussed (virtually) as a group a couple of weeks in advance of the date and could include any of: - A circular walk over one of the major summits - Long distance point-to-point along the main ridge - A section of Offa's Dyke long distance national trail - Fast summit bagging with short drives between peaks - A more remote/off-path route in a quiet corner of the range Stretching from the North Wales coast near Prestatyn, the Clwydian Range is an upland spine of hills to continue along the border of Denbighshire & Flintshire towards Llangollen and the Dee Valley, which are also included in the scope of this event. Some of the most well-known locations include: - Moel Famau - Vivod Mountain - Moel Arthur - Llantysilio Mountain - Moel y Parc - Castell Dinas Bran Take this unique guided opportunity to explore & experience this fantastic corner of Wales. It is accessible, naturally beautiful & culturally significant. What's Included: A full day of guided walking from a qualified, experienced & insured mountain leader in a small and personal group. Opportunities to improve your personal mountain skillset. An emphasis on education around the landscape, local knowledge, wildlife & more. Advice regarding local travel & accommodation. Required Experience: This is a reasonably demanding day, you must be an active walker. You should be comfortable on steep & hilly terrain plus experience of walking 10-15km in a day.
